How to Use the Inspection Trainer
TL;DR
Practice inspection skills for Cross, XCross, Pseudo XCross, and XXCross (including Diagonal cases). Generate optimal solutions for a set number of moves, study the scramble, and reveal the solution when ready. Use batch mode to generate multiple cases for offline practice.
Settings
- Category: Choose between Cross (4 pieces), XCross (5 pieces), Pseudo XCross (misaligned D layer), or XXCross (6 pieces, Diagonal cases included automatically)
- Moves Length: Set solution length (some options disabled for advanced categories)
- Bottom Color: Select bottom face color for your preferred orientation
- Front Color: Choose which face should be in front
- Batch Mode: Generate multiple scrambles at once for offline practice
How to Use
- Choose Category: Select your training focus (Cross, XCross, Pseudo XCross, or XXCross with diagonal variants mixed in)
- Configure Settings: Set moves length and cube orientation
- Generate Case: Click "New Scramble" to create a practice case
- Apply Scramble: Use a physical cube whenever possible for better practice
- Study the Case: Take your time to find the optimal solution
- Reveal Solution: Check the solution move-by-move or all at once
- Repeat: Generate new cases to continue practicing
Tips
- Start with Cross before progressing to XCross and beyond
- Use "Reveal One Move" if you're stuck to make incremental progress
- Practice with different bottom colors to improve color neutrality
- Try predicting where F2L pairs end up after executing the solution
- Use batch mode to generate cases for offline practice sessions
