Overview
Follow The Moves is a trainer designed to help you practice recognizing and executing move sequences
quickly. The trainer generates random sequences of "triggers" (short move patterns) for you to
execute on your cube.
Settings
- Session: Manage multiple training sessions with their own triggers, times, and
settings.
- Edit Triggers: Customize the move patterns used in training. Each trigger has
its own color for easy recognition. Also configure the chance of repeated triggers.
- Count Down: When enabled, shows a 3-2-1 countdown before the timer starts.
- Parentheses: When enabled, triggers are visually grouped with colored
backgrounds and parentheses for better visual separation.
- Highlight: When enabled, progressively highlights moves at your best TPS pace
to help you maintain optimal speed. Only activates after you have previous attempts to base
the timing on (unless you set a custom Target TPS).
- Target TPS: Set to 0 (default) to automatically use your best TPS from previous
attempts for highlighting. Set to any positive number to use that specific TPS value, which will
work from your very first attempt.
How to Use
- Configure your triggers using "Edit Triggers" or select a preset.
- Press Space or click the timer area to start.
- Execute the displayed moves on your cube as fast as you can.
- Press Space or click again to stop the timer.
- Check if your cube matches the displayed image. If not, click the reset button.
Color Coding
Each trigger can have its own color, making it easier to recognize patterns at a glance. Use the
color picker in the triggers editor to customize colors, or use the "Randomize Colors" button for
variety.
Tips
- Start with simple triggers like RU patterns before moving to more complex ones.
- The trainer automatically adds U moves between triggers when needed.
- Use the cube image to verify your execution is correct.
- Create separate sessions for different trigger sets or training goals.
- Enable highlighting to see optimal pacing based on your best TPS performance.
- Hover over setting buttons to see what each one does.
